Timothy Dell is a realist and abstract painter and large scale collage artist who is passionately committed to a lifelong study of nature and the visual arena. Predominantly a colourist, dedicated to its central role in the creation of art in a country of intense colour, tone and light, Dell draws on positive, negative and neutral emotional states which generate a design and selection of materials appropriate to any given state that become a signature for a given experience. Dell's oil paintings vary in approach depending on mood and are an interaction between the eye and natural phenomena.

Dell's work has featured in "The Collage Ideas Book" by Alannah Moore, published by Ilex/Octopus in May 2018, and is the recipient of numerous art prizes and awards. Dell paints en plein air in locations such as N.E Gippsland, the Mornington Peninsula, Byron Bay in New South Wales.
